New product lines

PharmaLinea is expanding their product portfolio with:

• a new liposomal magnesium product:  Your Lipo-Mag Orosticks

• a new liposomal vitamin C product:  Your Lipo-C Orosticks

The liposomal delivery technology used in our latest innovations, Your  Lipo-Mag Orosticks and  Your  Lipo-C Orosticks, enables superior absorption compared to traditional forms of supplementation, in turn providing a more pleasant and efficient user experience,  commented Veronika Pipan, Head of Scientific Support at PharmaLinea.  Additionally, few liposomal magnesium or vitamin C products on the market come in direct stick form. This makes our latest innovations a great alternative to capsules or tablets which can be hard to take.

Both products come in a tasty orodispersible powder format and are based on PharmaLinea’s proprietary, branded liposomal ingredients, QlipoMg™ and QlipoC™. This provides brands with an opportunity for unique positioning and stronger differentiation in their market, explained Matevž Ambrožič, Marketing Director at PharmaLinea.

 Your Lipo-Mag Orosticks

Your Lipo-Mag Orosticks are PharmaLinea’s proprietary liposomal magnesium in a tasty orodispersible format based on a unique, proprietary branded ingredient QlipoMg™.

Magnesium has gained popularity throguh wellness trends, such as #sleepygirlmocktail, and products based on the ingredient have recently seen high commercial success,  stated Ambrožič.  However, a common challenge with magnesium supplements is poor bioavailability and unwanted side effects, such as diarrhea.  Your   Lipo-Mag Orosticks use liposomal delivery technology to enhance magnesium absorption. Additionally, the technology may also help avoid the issue of ingredients interacting with the digestive system. As a result, our new private label supplement may allow the consumers to achieve their desired health goals faster and worry-free.

Although direct sticks are a great format for consumers, they can be demanding for formulators,  commented Denis Đalapa, Technical Director at PharmaLinea.  When it comes to magnesium, especially chelates such as bisglycinate can have a challenging taste and good orodispersibility is not easy to achieve. A great deal of expertise is needed to overcome these formulation challenges, and we’re proud of the solution our R&D team was able to deliver.

 Your Lipo-C Orosticks

Your Lipo-C Orosticks are PharmaLinea’s proprietary liposomal vitamin C in a tasty orodispersible format based on a unique, proprietary branded ingredient QlipoC™.

Vitamin C is a well-established nutraceutical category, but standing out in the crowded market requires innovation, explained Ambrožič. Advanced delivery technologies, such as liposomal, are one way to achieve this.

Many available vitamin C products on the market are based on regular ascorbic acid, which can be too acidic for sensitive people, and can irritate the stomach, especially at higher dosages. Our proprietary liposomal ingredient QlipoC™ is instead based on salts - calcium ascorbate and sodium ascorbate. This mixture is then additionally enveloped with liposomal delivery technology to deliver the effects faster and theoretically causing less irritation,  shared Pipan.

New taste varieties

Recently, hydration has developed from sports-focused category into a mainstream wellness trend. Driven by campaigns and social media trends, the category is quickly expanding,  stated Ambrožič.

Your Hydramin Sticks are PharmaLinea’s hydration product, designed to enable smart, clean, and efficient hydration without added sugars. The company will present a new variety of taste options – zesty lime, classic orange, refreshing blackcurrant, sweet peach – at this year’s Vitafoods Europe.

The product is based on AminoAbsorb™, PharmaLinea's proprietary smart hydration technology. The technology utilizes amino acid cotransport pathways to enhance rapid absorption of water and electrolytes. In doing so, it enables more efficient hydration without using sugar, like most products, added Ambrožič.

Other novelties

At Vitafoods, PharmaLinea will also present their future development projects and the results of a recently published clinical trial on the company’s back pain product.

We already working on the next generation of innovations for the PharmaLinea portfolio. At the show, we will highlight our development projects in areas such as cognition, women's health, and children's development, revealed Pipan. Additionally, we will highlight a recently published clinical study, which revealed the combination of  Your Back Pain Capsules and the rehabilitation program resulted in a significant reduction of radicular pain severity according to multiple standardized questionnaires and significant improvement in mobility according to multiple standardized mobility tests compared to placebo in combination with the rehabilitation program.
