DrVita, makers of Nature’s Lab, produces high-quality dietary supplements based on advanced nutritional science. Prioritizing quality and purity, it meticulously develops each formula to provide essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and proteins, in the right forms and at optimal potency levels. It offers over 500 formulations in the form of capsules and softgels for both adults and children.
DrVita’s products are available to consumers online and in-store. It also offers retailers a white-label product.
“We are a flexible and true innovation partner for clients, as opposed to a typical contract manufacturer,” says Josh Minnick, vice president of sales, DrVita. “We invest time and effort in understanding customer requirements.”
DrVita’s R&D and quality teams work with client formulation developers to ascertain the ingredients, quantities, and composition needed to develop each product. With its finger on the pulse of evolving consumer behavior, it helps deliver what the market needs.
One example is its Ashwangandha-based supplement. The ayurvedic nutrient is known to lower cortisol levels, and DrVita offers it in the form of extract and organic root powder. Withanolides and other polyphenol plant compounds make it a powerful antioxidant. The product features patented KSM-66 Ashwagandha, which has passed 24 “Gold Standard” clinical trials.
Another flagship product is Mushroom 7, a superior blend of seven ethically sourced medicinal mushroom species. It boosts the immune system, promotes cell health, and improves gut health.
Products are developed in a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility with a testing lab and state-of-the-art equipment from Bosch and L.L. Bohle. The manufacturing process begins after the formulation is identified and raw materials are sourced by a team that has built long-standing relationships with suppliers.
All products undergo over 90 quality control checks from the time they arrive at the facility to when they are shipped out the door. The raw materials are quarantined and tested for purity and potency to ensure they are free from Staph, E. coli, Salmonella, and other microbial contamination. They are weighed and uniformly blended so that every single capsule has the exact nutrient amount specified on the label. The products are tested and sent to the packaging line. Currently, DrVita has two packaging lines and plans to add another this year. The finished products are tested, sealed, labeled, case packed, quarantined, and delivered to clients.

In one instance, it partnered with one of the largest retailers in the world on their private label brand. The client was losing a significant number of sales due to a failure to keep track of stock keeping units (SKU). Working closely with the retailer, it identified gaps and set up a program that involved testing the sales of its new formulations in a cohort of their stores before rolling out nationally. This enabled them to be nimble, learn from the data, and maximize the success rate of new items. DrVita also built a pallet program for the client’s vitamin products to catch the shoppers’ attention. This initiative not only boosted sales but helped improve customer awareness of the products and made the retailer a preferred vitamin brand.
“Our success boils down to our team of passionate professionals. We go above and beyond manufacturing supplements to creating long-standing partnerships with clients to help them maintain stocks, manage shipping, and reach newer heights,” says Minnick.
Amidst numerous substandard supplements on the market, DrVita stands out by delivering Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, Halal- and Kosher-certified products that comply with USDA Organic standards.
